Super Falcons star reveals why she wears make-up unto the pitch

Super Falcons winger Francisca Ordega has disclosed that one of the qualities that stands her out among her peers is because she looks good on the pitch.

The 26-year-old has been spectacular with the Nigerian female national football team since making her debut in 2010.
She has so far featured for the Super Falcons in 26 games winning four Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) titles.

She also has 7 goals to her credit.

During matches, the Shanghai Shenhua of China lady appears in full make-up and fancy hairstyle and a number of fans have criticised her action.

During a live Instagram chat, the 2019 Fifa Women’s World Cup star explained that female players endure lots of criticisms a lot saying it is important to look good.

“I love to make up before again, most people think we female footballer are not pretty, we are ugly, they talk us down and body shame us.”

“So when I’m going to the field, I just want them to see the feminine part of us, it’s my job and I must look good.

“Many people may choose not to, but I love wearing my make up and to give people what to talk about because football is also part of the entertainment.” She told brila.net.

Ordega represented the Nigerian women’s national football team at all levels.

With the under 17, she played the 2010 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup and with the under 20 at 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

At the senior level, she featured at the FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments of 2011, 2015, and 2019.
