When South African legend AB de Villiers announces his much anticipated comeback to cricket after almost four years, cricket fans around the world are going crazy about his legendary comeback.
In the second World Championship of Legends (WCL) tournament, De Villiers who is regarded as one of the most unique and captivating cricket players of all time will captain the Game Changers South Africa Champions. For cricket fans worldwide, this top T20 event which features retired and uncontracted cricket legends promises to be both nostalgic and thrilling.
Reflecting on his return, Mr.360 said, “Four years ago, I retired from all cricket because I just didn’t feel the urge to play any more. Well, time has passed, and my young sons have started playing the game. We’ve been playing more and more often in the garden, and, well, it feels as though some kind of flame has been lit again. So I am heading back to the gym and the nets, and I’ll be ready for WCL in July,” as quoted from a release by WCL.
De Villiers is renowned for his unparalleled adaptability and courageous batting and his return has sparked excitement among cricket fans. Under de Villiers leadership, the Game Changers team which in the first season included icons like Jacques Kallis, Herschelle Gibbs, Dale Steyn, and Imran Tahir now has an even more promising future.
