AFCON 2019: Indomitable Lions Earn a Point

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon earned a point against Ghana in their second game of the AFCON tournament on Saturday after both teams played 0-0.
Cameroun had some decent chances but the Indomitable Lions were unable to score from the couples of attempt they had.
Ghana made an unplanned substitute after Christian Atsu was replaced by Samuel Owusu in the 15th minute after the Newcastle attacker fired a shot.
Cameroun had another chance to break the deadlock but Ghana goalkeeper Ofori denied Christian Bassogog with just five minutes to go.
Ghana matched the Indomitable Lions man to man in the first 45 minutes of the clash.
The first half ended 0-0 as Ghana was able to match the physicality of the Cameronians.
Ghana approached the second half with the aim to push the Cameroun team to the back as they pressured the Indomitable on high line attacking display.
Wakaso powerful shot went narrowly off the target for Ghana as both teams displayed a pure attacking game after the 55th minute. Nuhu Kasim was flashed a yellow card by the referee after he appeared to elbow a Cameroun player in the 63rd minute.
Choupo-Moting was thrown in place for Bong Gaetan and Bahoken Stephane replaced Ekambi Karl Toko in the 75th minute as Clarence Seedorf aim to introduce new players,
Kwese Appiah threw in Gyan Asamoah in place of Kwadwo Asamoah.
Seedorf made his last substitute as he introduced Pierre Kunde Malong for Andre-Frank Zambo with 82nd.
Ghana was denied by the woodwork after Owusu’s effort crashed against the crossbar.
With the result, Cameroon has four points while Ghana has two points from their two opening games.
The game ended 0-0, up next for Cameroon is the game against Benin and Ghana will play against Guinea Bissau on Tuesday.
