AFCON Game of Thrones: Desert Foxes Defeat Terranga Lions to Sit on Africa’s Football Throne

Algeria defeated Senegal with a slim scoreline of 1-0 to win the AFCON tournament in Egypt, as the Desert Foxes win the tournament after 29 years.
It took just two minutes for Baghdad Bounedjah to break the deadlock through his effort took a slight deflection to beat Senegalese goalkeeper who left his line.
Senegal kept pushing for the equalizer but Algeria remained determined to lock up the defense.
The Senegalese came close in the last minute of the first half after a good combination. the Algerians were more defensive in the first half.
Niang was presented with a scoring chance but his effort went narrowly over the cross-bar.
The first half ended 1-0 in favour of the North African team.
The second half started with Senegal showing more intensity as they aim to find the equalizer before the long, Sadio Mane almost convert a chance but his effort went wide.
Senegal was unfortunate not to have a penalty awarded in their favour in the 60th minute of the clash. The Desert Foxes were able to hold on their lead after 75 minutes of play.
Sarr had the time to find the leveller in the 82nd minute but his effort went over the bar.
Then Terranga Lions were unable to find the leveller as the game ended 1-0 after the full time.
