Last updated on September 11th, 2021 at 08:06 am

The African Development Bank (AfDB) has pledge over six billion to support and help Sahel countries, this is an important initiative to allow the countries in Sahel to fight desertification. The AfDB has been recognized for such charitable deeds in the time past.

AfDB president Akinwumi Adesina made the promise during the OnePlanet highest point facilitated by French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday.

“The eventual fate of the Sahel locale relies upon the Great Green Wall. Without the Great Green Wall, the Sahel district as far as we might be concerned may vanish”, said Adesina.

The Great Green Wall activity expects to plant a 8,000 km long and 15 km wide mosaic of trees, fields, vegetation and plants across the Sahara and Sahel to help reestablish the corrupted terrains and help the district’s occupants produce sufficient food, make occupations and advance harmony in the locale.
