Amaechi Muonagor Paralyzed, Cries For Financial Help

Amaechi Muonagor, veteran Nigerian actor and producer, is suffering due to health issues and financial problems. In a viral video, Amaechi Muonagor is seen pleading for help, revealing that he is grappling with paralysis. The 61-year-old actor could be seen lying on bed, crying for financial support.
Amaechi Muonagor said, “I was on a movie set. I was about to enter my car when I was struck with this problem and since then it has been getting worse. Right now, I can’t move, I can’t walk on my own. Half of my left leg is paralyzed, my left hand is not movable.” He called on Nigerians to provide him financial support.

What happened to Amaechi Muonagor?

Veteran Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor suffered a partial stroke that has affected his health. The problem has paralyzed half of his left leg. His battle with illness has raised concerns about possible amputation of one of his legs.

Amaechi Muonagor, who has starred in numerous Nigerian films, said that he suffered from a stroke on a movie set in Nnewi, Anambra State, in early 2023. He spent two months at a local hospital. Later on, he was transferred to the Teaching Hospital Nnewi.

In a heartbreaking video, the veteran Nollywood actor has revealed that he is unable to walk on his own and needs financial assistance to cover his medical bills.

The plight of Amaechi Muonagor highlights the challenges faced by many Nollywood actors. They are often underpaid, neglected, as well as lack access to adequate healthcare and social safety nets.
Agbogidi Clemson Cornell, another Nollywood actor, said that Nigerian artists do not take adequate rest and fail to take care of themselves. He revealed that many of his Nollywood colleagues hardly find time to rest and take care of their health due to hectic work schedules.
