BBNaija’s Chichi And Phyna Clash Over ‘Wig-Renting’ Controversy

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Chichi and Phyna, a Nigerian actress, model, hype woman, entertainer and a reality TV star, have clashed over ‘wig-renting’ controversy.

Chichi mocked her colleague, Phyna, over her wig-renting accusation. A vendor, DBeauty Mogul, slammed Phyna for refusing to return a “rented” wig after the rental period. However, Phyna denied knowing the vendor, saying her clout chasers. Chichi came in between to spark the controversy. 

Chichi wrote on X (previously Twitter), “Hi loves, wigsbyella sells luxury hair at affordable rates, and we are still on sale. Patronise my hair brand and stop doing borrow pose. I love you all.” Subsequently, a social media user wrote, “Now I believe you are so obsessed with Phyna.” To which, Chichi replied, “How will I be obsessed with someone that rents hair? She even prices the rent rate.”

What is the ‘wig-renting’ controversy?

A wig owner recently took to social media, tagging BBN winner Phyna to return a wig she rented since Sunday. The wig owner also posted the screenshots. The screenshot showed that Phyna or her team were trying to bargain a lower price for the wig with the vendor.

Phyna called the wig owner a “clout chaser.” Phyna said that the woman was blackmailing her. She claimed that her management team may have handled the transaction without informing her.

Chichi shared an alleged chat between Phyna and the hair vendor negotiating price for the wig. Ex-BBNaija housemate made fun of Phyna.

Who is Phyna?

Phyna is a famous Nigerian actress, model, entertainer and a reality TV star. Her real name is Ijeoma Josephina Otabor. Phyna is the winner of Big Brother Naija season 7.

Phyna was born on 2 June 1997 in Edo, a state located in the South geopolitical zone of the federal republic of Nigeria. She started her career in college as a commercial model and was signed by a modeling agency.

She has done endorsement for various brands, including Firegin, Spedy Herbals, Rixari Skin Secrets, BeUnique Wears, and Spedy Weightloss. She entered the 7th season of Big Brother Naija (Level Up) last year. Since then, she became extremely famous.
