Breaking: Bobi Wine Files Petition To Challenge Museveni’s Victory

Bobi Wine has officially filed a petition on the recent election in Uganda on Monday, Wine tendered his petition to the supreme court against the victory of incumbent President, Yoweri Museveni in the just concluded elections in the country. Bobi Wine claimed that there were series of irregularities in the recent elections.

The 38-year-old artist turned-legislator came a far off second behind veteran pioneer Museveni in the January 14 vote that followed a portion of Uganda’s most exceedingly awful pre-political decision gore in years.

Medard Sseggona, one of Wine’s attorneys, said “any political race Museveni takes an interest in can never be a quiet political decision, can never be a free and reasonable political decision”. “We need invalidation of the political race.

We don’t need (Museveni) partaking in any future political decision,” Sseggona said outside the Kampala town hall where he documented the request.

Museveni, a 76-year-old previous renegade pioneer who has governed since 1986, won a 6th term with around 59 percent of the vote.
