Cameroon: Prison break as 22 inmates escape from jail in Meiganga

A manhunt has been launched in Meiganga, Adamawa region to track down 22 inmates who escaped from prison last night.
Sources say, the inmates escaped after digging a hole on one of the walls of the prison before escaping through a nearby bush into the wild.
Prison warders and security forces immediately got alerted and intervened to prevent more prisoners from escaping as the hole has been blocked.
A list of the 22 detainees who have escaped has been established as investigations continue to track them down.
