Central African Republic: President Faustin Touadéra Wins Election

President Faustin Touadéra of Central African Republic has been reelected for a second term in office in the country. Prior to the election he was the strong favorite to win the election which he did comfortable.

He won an “outright lion’s share” with 53.92% of votes, Mathias Morouba, leader of the National Election Authority (ANE) told a news meeting in the capital, Bangui.

Be that as it may, the outcomes should be formally approved by the Constitutional Court if there are potential advances.

Dissident gatherings had attempted to disturb the vote after previous President Francois Bozize was banished from running.
