Mahamat Said Abdel Kani a former rebel commander in the Central African Republic has appeared before the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Friday, Kani is being investigated for his role in the recent series of rebel attacks in the country which has led to the fleeing of refugees to other neighboring countries.
Kani, 50, is associated with carrying out violations against humankind and atrocities including torment after the nation spiraled into partisan viciousness in 2013, following the ouster of previous pioneer Francois Bozize.
The viciousness pitted the Seleka, a principally Muslim-upheld rebel alliance against basically Christian vigilante self-preservation bunches known as hostile to Balaka.
He showed up at the Court’s confinement place in The Hague on Monday.
Friday’s hearing was intended to check Kani’s personality and to advise him of the charges he’s affirmed to have submitted.
