Coronavirus: Death toll in Uganda rises to 5

Ministry of Health Monday confirmed the demise of one COVID-19 patient, bringing the range of human beings who have succumbed to the disease in Uganda to five.

A assertion by way of the ministry says that thirteen new COVID-19 cases had been confirmed from samples examined on Sunday, bringing the cumulative tested instances of Ugandans to 1,195.

The victim, a according to a statement, is a 46-year-old woman of Asian starting place and a resident of Kibuli in Kampala.

According to Dr Henry Mwebesa, the director regular of health services, the deceased, on August 1 presented symptoms and signs and symptoms which are constant with COVID-19 at Kubuli Muslim Hospital.

Dr Mwebesa stated that when you consider that the patient had cough, used to be finding it hard to breath and had mild fever, the scientific crew at the medical institution  referred her to Mulago National Referrral Hospital for similarly management.

Meanwhile, Dr Mwesbesa said, samples that were taken from a suspected COVID-19 loss of life in Kiruhura District have examined poor for COVID-19.

He stated that 13 new COVID-19 cases had been verified from samples that have been tested on Sunday bringing the cumulative tested instances of Ugandans to 1,195, while 1,070 Ugandans have recovered.
