‘Unavailable’ single by Davido, an American-born Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer, has emerged as one of the biggest songs at the United Kingdom (UK) Singles Chart.
In the latest installment of the United Kingdom Official Singles chart (Chart week June 30 – July 6, 2023), Davido’s ‘Unavailable’ gained immense popularity as it entered its 10th week on the chart.
Davido’s 4th album ‘Timeless’ surpassed 40 million listens on the global streaming service Spotify. Davido wrote on Twitter, “We believe in God.”
His ‘Timeless’ album became a super hit in Africa and beyond. Timeless broke all records across all five major streaming platforms in Nigeria.
Recently, the popular Nigerian singer admitted that he was afraid to release his new album, Timeless. He said that the album would either save him or break him.
He was not producing any songs for a long time after the tragic loss of his son, Ifeanyi, who died last year in October drowning in a swimming pool at the residence in Lagos, a city in Nigeria. He released his latest album in March this year. Award-winning Nigerian singer and DMW Boss wrote on Instagram, “There is a time for everything. A time to grieve and a time to heal. A time to laugh and a time to dance. A time to speak and a time for silence.” He thanked his fans for sending him all the gifts.
Davido is also one of the richest musicians in Africa. He has received various awards for his songs and albums. Davido has also been named on the list of the Top 100 most influential Africans by New African magazine. Davido has also performed in the Flytime Fest and the FIFA World Cup. Davido debuted through the music group KB International.
