Nigerian singer, Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, better known by his stage name Patoranking, has revealed that most of his songs and songwriting skills are inspired by his ghetto upbringing.

The singer made this known while answering questions from Pan-African Music content creator.

The “Abule’ croonerr explained that the hit song from his recent album “Three”, is a sort of ode to life in the ghetto.

In his words,

“Abule simply means hood or ghetto. So when making a song, all I do is just have a reflection about where I come from and then I write.

I was thinking about the party life in the ghetto, how we party, how it is, the things that happen there.”

The singer recently took to his Twitter page to teach Nigerians on the importance of resilience, consistency and determination.

Patoranking says every man who has achieved success in life, did so as a result of resilience, consistency and determination.

The artiste who appears to be tired of motivational speakers and their supposed deceptive ways, advised Nigerians to stop listening to people who often speak about how they became rich at first trial because they believed it is possible.

According to the the artiste, every successful man failed many times before attaining success.

He tweeted,

“Every Successful Man failed Many Times, Don’t be Deceived by Motivational Speakers #Selah”
