Kizz Daniel, Nigerian singer, has signed a deal with Empire Distribution, records and publishing company in the United States.

Empire took to its social media page on Thursday to break the news in a terse post.

“Welcome to the Empire family @iamkissdaniel,” the company wrote in the post accompanied by a picture of the singer and the Nigerian flag.

The development further stretches the list of Nigerian artistes who have signed a deal with the US company which boasts of global music heavyweights including Kendrick Lamar, Tyga and Fat Joe.

TheCable had earlier reported how Olamide Adedeji, a rapper and record label boss, sealed a joint venture deal with the company in February.

Peter Okoye, of the defunct Psquare, had also inked a deal with the American company in 2017.

It also adds to what has been an impressive music career for the singer, born Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe.

The ‘Woju’ crooner has continued to pull the strings in the country’s music industry with numerous beautiful projects which have snagged several awards and recognition.

Daniel signed a record deal with G-Worldwide Entertainment in 2013 but left the label following a publicized contract dispute and court case.

He would later establish, Fly Boy Inc, his own record label, in November 2017. The singer is best known for ‘Woju’ and ‘Yeba’, his two hit singles.
