The government of Ethiopia has admitted their involvement in the force fired at a United Nations team in the Tigray region, through an Ethiopian spokeman. The announcement was made on Tuesday.
Talking at a public interview in the capital Addis Ababa, Redwan demanded the UN staff members were at fault for Sunday’s occurrence near the town of Shire, asserting they had “entertained themselves with a sort of brave campaign”.
“This nation isn’t a dead zone. It has an administration,” he said.
“In the event that anyone is advised not to go, at that point they need to comply with it. You can’t disregard an administration cautioning and afterward attempt to run roughshod (over) everyone,” he added.
Many Ethiopians has fled to neighboring countries like Sudan and Eritrea just to seek refuge, hundreds has also been killed due to the conflict in the Tigray region. The conflict is between the government of Ethiopia and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front.
