Ibrahim Sa’id nets hat-tricks as Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets come from behind to beat 3-2 Ecuador in the second Group B match of the FIFA U-17 World Cup tournament ongoing in Brazil.
Sa’id netted the opener for the Manu Garba’s boy’ just five minutes after kickoff but the South American nation grabbed an equalizer 10 minutes into the game after Daniel Jinadu made a mistake which led to an own goal against the five-time champion.
Ecuador took the lead for the first time in the game when Johan Mina converted from the spot 10 minutes after the restart but Nigeria’s hopes of winning were revived again when Sa’id scored an equaliser in the 85 minute with a beautiful curling effort into the top corner.
However, Said struck twice in the last five minutes to hand the Golden Eaglets their second win in the competition and through to the knock out stage of the competition lead the group with six points, followed by Ecuador with three.
Garba’s boy’s will face Australia in their last Group B game on Friday.
