Four UAE Convoys Deliver Essential Aid to Gaza’s Struggling Communities

This week, four aid convoys carrying various forms of humanitarian supplies from the United Arab Emirates crossed the Rafah Border Crossing into the Gaza Strip. It is increasing the total number of convoys dispatched to 130 so far from the United Arab Emirates.

The four aid convoys consisted of 41 lorries carrying more than 514 tonnes of aid supplies which carried necessary goods including food, medical equipment, nutritional supplements for kids, clothing, shelter materials, women’s hygiene packages and other requirements.

This endeavour is in line with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, the UAE’s continuous humanitarian commitment to aid and support the Palestinian people in their current difficult situation.

Under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, so far 1,148 trucks of relief have been sent to Gaza and greatly easing the suffering of its citizens and helping the most vulnerable groups in the region through these difficult circumstances.

Since the start of the conflict, the UAE has been one of the largest donors of food and medical supplies to the Gaza population.

The United Arab Emirates also established two hospitals, one of which provides prosthetic limbs to Palestinians injured during Israel’s war against Hamas.

Reem Al Hashimy who is the Minister of State for International Co-operation recently said that the aid deliveries are “part of the UAE’s continuing commitment to alleviate the immense suffering of Palestinians.”

Since the war began in October 2023, Israeli fire has killed about 44,000 people in Gaza forcing millions to abandon their homes under Israeli eviction orders and people are racing for food and other essentials as humanitarian supplies have cutted down.

UAE’s continuous humanitarian aid has been a big shoulder for Gaza people in this hard time.
