Ghana: 2 Jailed 40 Years for Robbery

Two persons have been handed a total of 40 years in jail by the Kasoa Circuit Court presided over by His Lordship Ebenezer Osei Darko.

The two Daniel Amoah and Yaw Danso were convicted on the charge of conspiracy to commit crime to wit robbery.

The two were alleged to have attacked a mobile money vendor Kate Aidoo at Gomoa Fetteh in the central region, bolted with her money and in the process poured acid on her leaving the victim to battle for her life at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

The victim Kate Aidoo who suffered severe burns on the face and breast managed to shout for help in the process of her attack with some youth pursuing the suspects leading to their arrest.
