Black Satellites midfielder Abdul FatawuIssahaku is delighted to be named the African Under-20 (AFCON) Under-20 player after his impressive performances for the Black Satellites led to their victory in Mauritania.
The midfielder scored twice in the tournament but his team’s best performance in allowing them to win their fourth trophy on the continent was what caught sight of the Technical Studies Team (TSG) to be crowned the tournament’s best player. Meanwhile, Issahaku scored twice for the Satellites enroute to win their fourth league title.
Speaking about his victory, Fatawu said: “I feel happy and honored to win this award, but I am very happy that as a team we have won the Ghana People’s Cup. This will encourage us to continue working and we hope to be able to take new and bigger steps in our work. ”
He expressed his delight at the final achievement and believed it would challenge him and his teammates to work and realize their career ambitions.
