Guinea: Preliminary outcome contested

The outcome of the presidential election which was held on Nov. 18 in Conakry, Guinea. Alpha Conde won the election against opposition Cellou Dalein Diallo. The elections result has since been contested by various individual.

Four of the 17 constituent magistrates said they found “genuine inconsistencies” in the association of the official political decision, which influenced the temporary outcomes.

They delivered a 22-page report on Sunday enumerating the supposed abnormalities, which they said would be introduced to delegates of ECOWAS, the African Union and the UN, who arrived in Conakry likewise on Sunday.

Their appearance is to help control the brutality that has grasped the nation.

In any event 30 individuals have kicked the bucket in conflicts with security powers since the vote.

The electoral college and the constitutional court will validate and confirm Alpha Conde in presidential election last Sunday. The outcome of this agitation is left to be seen.
