Hyundai Motor Group offers students a broad scholarship opportunity through a partnership with SOAS University of London. Hyundai Motor Group established a scholarship program on February 10, 2025, when they signed the agreement at the SOAS Senate Chamber to develop young African leaders.
Through the Hyundai Motor Group Scholarship system, the company provides £1.5 million in funding to help 25 African students earn their master’s and doctoral degrees at SOAS. Starting in early 202,5, the program gives five scholarships each year, including tuition payment plus enough money for living expenses. Hyundai Motor Group Executive Vice President Heung-Soo Kim and SOAS Vice-Chancellor Adam Habib both attended the occasion at their shared signing ceremony.
The program uses a fresh approach by running the Junior Internship Program, which lets African students work at Hyundai facilities in Seoul. The Group develops Africa-focused studies in sustainable development at its SOAS centers. The company creates plans from its ‘Together for a Better Future’ vision by collaborating with universities to improve sustainable teaching strategies.
