Incorporating Africa into the Global Technological Landscape – Mudavadi’s Vision for the Future

The Connected Africa Summit 2024 is poised to transcend the conventional boundaries of growth by focusing on shaping the future of a connected Africa while unlocking growth beyond mere connectivity. During the opening of the summit held at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi emphasized that Africa should not continue to play catch up when it comes to technology. Mudavadi, who also serves as the Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Cabinet Secretary, stressed the importance of Africa’s active participation in shaping the world’s technological future.

“We must ensure that we are running fast enough not to be left behind,” Mudavadi stated, highlighting the need for Africa to keep pace with global technological advancements. He further urged President William Ruto to continue investing in technology to ensure that Africa remains connected and never left behind.
