Ivory Coast send AFCON warning after bashing Zambia

Ivory Coast sends 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt warning after coming from a goal down to beat the Zambia 4-1 on Thursday evening.
The Copper Bullets started strong and scored within 15 minutes with Fashion Sakala dispatching off a penalty after Patson Daka was brought down in the box but Aston Villa forward Jonathan Kodja levelled matters in the 29th minute with a fine finish before Jean-Michael Seri scored in Abu Dhabi to give the Ivorians a 2-1 half-time lead.
Lyon winger Maxwell Cornet increased the lead on 57 minutes and a late goal from free agent Wilfried Bony completed an emphatic victory for the two-time African champions.
Ivory Coast had defeated Comoros and lost to Uganda in their other warm-up matches for the tournament, while it was the third outing for Zambia against qualifiers for the African competition — they lost narrowly to defending champions Cameroon and defeated Morocco before facing the Ivorians.
The 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations kicks off on Friday when Egypt play Zimbabwe at the Cairo International Stadium.
