The Gujarat Titans (GT) team confirmed Thursday that fast bowler Kagiso Rabada is taking an early IPL 2025 exit to handle a personal emergency in South Africa. The Titans published an official statement about Rabada leaving IPL 2025 but did not disclose his reason or return date.
The formal statement from Gujarat Titans noted that international fast bowler Kagiso Rabada needs to go back to his home nation South Africa because of an urgent family matter. Rabada has the complete backing of his team while he handles his important private matters.
During GT’s first two matches Rabada played as bowler and collected 1/41 vs Punjab Kings and 1/42 vs Mumbai Indians. Rabada stayed home in South Africa while GT played against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Wednesday but the team won easily by eight wickets with 13 balls to spare.
