Late Olympic Eagles skipper nominated for two awards in USA

Late Olympic Eagles skipper Isaac Promise has been nominated for two different awards by his last club in the United State of America.
The 31-year-old Zaria-born who last played for Austin Bold FC in the United Soccer League, USL Championship, died on October 2 of 2019 as a result of cardiac arrest but former Super Eagles star nominated for forwarding of the Year Award alongside Francis Atuahene, Ema Twumasi and Andre Lima.
The late Promise is also listed for Most Valuable Player (MVP) award after the club released the names of the nominee on their official website .
He captained Nigeria to the 2003 FIFA U17 World Cup held in Finland, as well as the 2005 FIFA U20 World Cup in the Netherlands where the Flying Eagles were runners-up to Argentina plus Olympic Eagles in Bejing, China where the west African nations finished second by a silver medal behind eventual winners Argentina.
Promise scored 79 goals in 11 professional seasons in Turkey after previously featured for Genclerbirligi, Trabzonspor, Maniaaspor, Antalyaspor, Giresunspor, Balikesirspor and Karabukspor.
He also played for Al Ahli (Saudi Arabia) and Georgia Revolution (USA) before he joined Austin Bold FC in the second-tier United Soccer League (USL).
