Liberia: Impeached Court Judge Set To Be Compensated

Counsellor Kabineh Muhammad Jan’neh, is set to be compensated by the Liberian government. In a statement by the ECOWAS Court who ordered the Impeached Judge to be paid a some of $200,000 and be reinstated by the government of Liberia.

Conveying judgment on Tuesday, tenth November, 2020, for a situation recorded by the Judge, the Court likewise requested Liberia to reestablish, compute and pay to the Applicant all his retained privileges, including pay rates.

It further arranged his reestablishment as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court or in the other option, award him the option to resign from administration on the date of warning of the judgment of the Court with full annuity’s advantages.

This is definitely going to be a one of a kind decision in the history of Liberia, as only a few wrongly accused person has been compensated in the time past. we hope for more compensation like this.
