NEWS: Cameroon records 9 cholera cases

At least 9 cholera instances have been tested in southwestern Cameroon, with one death, nearby media pronounced Wednesday.

The World Health Organization (WHO) in Cameroon alongside humanitarian actors are assisting Cameroon’s regional delegation of public fitness for developing a robust and rapid response, along with the basis of a Cholera Treatment Centre at the Buea regional hospital, according to the website.

On Sept. 14, the cholera outbreak was once declared via the district health carrier of Buea.

Cameroon has experienced countless cholera outbreaks over the previous numerous years.

Cholera is an acute epidemic infectious ailment that is caused by using eating food or water contaminated with bacteria.

It is characterised via watery diarrhea, excessive loss of fluid and electrolytes, and extreme dehydration.
