It was a day of total jubilation for muslims in Morocco as mosque opened for the first time since March, all worship places were closed due to the impact of Covid-19.
On Friday, mosque all over the country especially Riyad mosque in Rabat opened but at the cost of having less than 200 people, which is lesser than the proposed 3000 worshipper due to social distancing rule imposed by the government.
Earlier in the week government authorities opened 5000 mosques but mandated that social distancing rule should be observed, and also all coronavirus safety precautions should be observed.
The Government decision to reopen different mosques and allow Friday prayers and sermons was welcomed by worshippers frustrated by the effects of the pandemic on their spiritual lives.
