Nigerian forces rescued 26 human beings on Monday, who had been taken hostage via armed groups.
The Acting Director of Media Operations Brig. Gen. Bernard Onyeuku told various journalists that Operation Sahel Sanity was launched towards the businesses in the states of Katsina, Zamfara and Kebbi.
Those rescued consist of seven women, Onyeuku said.
Three bandits were neutralized in the operation while many others escaped with wounds and a giant amount of ammunition used to be seized, he added.
Information on when the 26 human beings were kidnapped was no longer provided.

According to a print media, gunmen raided the villages of Kidandan and Kadai in Kaduna country and randomly opened fire.
Twelve people had been Brutally murdered, whilst eight were injured and many others have been Abducted in the attack.
