Niger: Voters Worry About Insurgency As Election Surfaces

Voter in Niger are seriously worried about the insecurity situation in the light of the forthcoming election in the country, the rate of insecurity in the country is on another level. The government has so far not sure about the necessary measures to take, the election is scheduled for December 27.

The principle issue is that there is a ton of instability in the nation. I used to live 30 kilometers away yet I can’t go there by motorbike any longer. So you can’t state you’re protected”, Omar Halidou, an Electronics repairman said.

Warriors with connections to al-Qaeda and the Islamic State bunch have progressively mounted assaults across West Africa’s Sahel locale lately.

The savagery has hit Mali and Burkina Faso the hardest however has spilled into western Niger, which offers fringes with its two neighbors.

Niger has a track record for insecurity in the time past mostly perpetrated by insurgent, terrorist group and extremist, it is now in the power of the government to protect the citizens of Niger from terror attack.
