It was a sad day on Saturday as over hundred farmers were killed by suspected members of Boko Haram in Borno State, the victims came to the state to work but they were untimely killed by Terrorists.
Prior, a state army pioneer Babakura Kolo, who helped the survivors revealed to AFP that ”we have recuperated 43 dead bodies, every one of them butchered, alongside six others with genuine wounds.”
The casualties were workers from Sokoto state in northwestern Nigeria, about 1,000 kilometers (600 miles) away. They had made a trip toward the upper east to look for some kind of employment.
The UN report didn’t make reference to Boko Haram as culprits. Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has censured the assault. He said “the whole nation has been injured by these silly killings.”
The government of the state particularly the federal government needs to provide security forces that will be dispatched to the hotspot of the insurgent so as to secure lives and property adequately.
