“Over 60,000 People Has Fled Central African Republic” – UNHCR

The UNHCR has said that over 60,000 has fled the Central African Republic due to the ongoing violence that has rocked the country at large, this was made known by the high commissioner of the UNHCR. Which has resulted in the increase of refugees in the Central African region.

On Friday at a press preparation in Geneva, the organization said more than 10,000 individuals crossed the Ubangi River to look for asylum in the Democratic Republic of Congo on January 13 alone.

In one month, 9,000 individuals from the Central African Republic likewise looked for shelter in Congo, Chad, and Cameroon.

It required an “quick discontinuance of all savagery in the Central African Republic” (CAR) and “the prompt return, all things considered, to important discourse and progress towards harmony”.

Exactly 58,000 are dislodged in the Central African Republic itself, as indicated by the Commission on Population Movements.
