There as been series of arrest of the members opposition in Guinea since the announcement of the result of the presidential election in the country. Another popular opposition leader, in the person of Oumar Sylla has been arrested on Thursday. This is quite alarming particularly for the members of the opposition.

Conde, 82, won the vote in a viciously questioned political decision on October 18.

While Sylla was removed he said he would keep on battling against the political decision.

He was captured in September and says he was hijacked by a gathering wearing non military personnel garments and one in uniform after he was knocked off a bike and afterward confined.

Recently two other resistance figures, Souleymane Conde and Youssouf Dioubate were each condemned to a year in jail on charges of inducing an insurgence.
