Premier League Update: Everton vs Liverpool match postponed due to “Strom Darragh”

The much awaited Everton vs Liverpool match has been postponed due to the bad weather after the origination of Atlantic Storm Darragh and the safety of visitors.

“Premier League” globally celebrated football league commenced in August 2024. Today’s match between Everton Vs Liverpool has been postponed due to the poor weather, highly anticipated winds, heavy rains due to the “Storm Darragh”. The match was scheduled at Goodison Park, Everton’s home stadium in Liverpool. 

After attending the meeting of Safety Advisory Group the officials of both the clubs, representatives from Merseyside Police and Liverpool City Council decided to avoid the risk of lives of local area from the heavy wind till 06.00 GMT. 

Both the teams has released official announcements regarding this postponement on their official websites respectively.

Everton Statement

“We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank supporters for their understanding. Whilst we appreciate this will be deeply disappointing for supporters, the safety of fans, staff and players is of paramount importance.

Information relating to a rearranged date for the fixture will be announced in due course. All tickets purchased for the original fixture will remain valid for the rearranged fixture”
