SAFA expresses gratitude For R1 Billion donation

The South African Football Association has expressed the FA’s gratitude for the R1 billion donation during this pandemic period.

Mamelodi Sundowns’ President, Patrice Motsepe, has donated the money as Mzansi continues with the 21-day COVID-19 lockdown, which has already infected over 1 000 people in Mzansi.

On March 28, it was confirmed that the Motsepe family made a contribution of R1 billion to help the fight of coronavirus and its related challenges faced by the country. Read more:

SAFA has since commended Motsepe for his donation. The FA stated on their official website, “The South African Football Association (SAFA) has noted with great appreciation the contribution by the Motsepe Foundation in these times of need by donating R1 billion towards the fight against the scourge of the coronavirus.”

“The Motsepe Foundation, under the guidance of Patrice and Precious Motsepe-Moloi have made numerous contribution to various projects in the country which include in education, sports, small business and agriculture among others.”

“It is known that they form part of the humanitarian individuals together with Bill Gates and other philanthropists of this world.” “SAFA would like to thank the Motsepes for the caring gesture in this difficult period.”
