Singer Ariana Grande addresses body shaming on TikTok

Ariana Grande, a popular American singer, songwriter, and actress, addressed the issue of body shaming on TikTok. She hit out at people who commented on her body and physical appearance.

She reportedly said on TikTok, “We should be gentler and less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies, no matter what. There are many different ways to look healthy and beautiful. There are many different kinds of beautiful.” She advised people to be “gentle with each other and yourselves.” She addressed body shaming in a 3-minute TikTok video.

She has been facing body shaming on social media for being too slim. Many people have started comparing her current body with her previous body shape. She said that the past version of her body was the unhealthiest version of her body. The singer reportedly said, “I was on a lot of antidepressants, and drinking on them, and eating poorly, and at the lowest points of my life.” She called her current version of her body ‘healthy’. She also opened up about her struggles with anxiety and PTSD.
