Vida e Caffè achieved a major milestone when they opened their 300th South African outlet in Secunda Mpumalanga making it Vida e Caffè’s 23 year anniversary milestone.
Vida e Caffè started its operations in Cape Town street cafés in 2001 and currently holds the title of South Africa’s biggest branded coffee network. The business runs from stores on main streets, drive-thru spaces, and stores within key brands such as Shell, Sasol, SPAR, and Builders Warehouse. Our 500th store opening shows our progress as a company backed by the strong commitment of everyone who made this achievement possible according to CEO Darren Levy.
Since 2013 Vida e Caffè launched in Ghana and now runs 35 stores in Mauritius, Zambia, Eswatini, and Botswana alongside their South Africa operations. The company revealed in September 2023 that it aims to establish 500 restaurants across Africa and the Middle East by 2028 while continuing into Gulf Cooperation Council markets. Vida e Caffè obtains coffee beans from Colombia, Guatemala, and Ethiopia plus uses ground beans from the South African regions of KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga to make its RedBerry blend.
