Sports: Etebo joins Galatasaray on loan

Oghenekaro Etebo has performed his loan change to Galatasaray after passing his medicals on Wednesday, the club has announced.

Etebo, who performed the 2nd half of the 2019/2020 season in LaLiga with Getafe and helped the Azulones to an eighth place finish will put on the wide variety 13 jersey for the former Super Lig Champions.

A delighted Etebo told the club’s legit website after signing on a season lengthy loan, he said: “I am very comfortable to have come to such a huge and historic club. Thank you to our president and our vice presidents for their warm welcome.

“I sincerely felt at home. See you at the championship at the cease of the season. On this occasion, I would like to thank our President, all technical group of workers and all our followers for a heat welcome.”

Etebo was once phase of the Super Eagles squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, from where he moved to Stoke City. But he played the second 1/2 of the 2019/2020 season in Spain with Gatefe.
