Sports: Why We Failed To Defeat Pirates – Maduka

Last updated on September 11th, 2021 at 08:11 am

Head coach of Bloemfontein Celtic, John Maduka has highlighted some of the things that went wrong in their defeat to Orlando Pirates.

Addressing the media after the match, Celtic mentor Maduka shared where he thought his side missed the mark against the Buccaneers.

“We began the game very well until we got that objective and that was the entire arrangement, to get an objective early. After we got that objective, we had several odds that could’ve completed the game, however we didn’t. At that point we changed a tad, rather than playing our passing game and making countless possibilities, we didn’t do that and began giving the ball to them.
