Sudan: Policeman killed In Protest

It has been a sad day in Sudan as a police officer was killed in clash with protesters at Kassala State, Other police officer sustained minor injuries.

The Sudanese police officer was once killed on Thursday in a conflict with protesters in the eastern Kassala state, bordering Eritrea.

The protesters took to the streets towards the dismissal of Kassala Governor Saleh Ammar. Security forces opened fireplace and threw tear fuel canisters at the protesters, eyewitnesses advised Anadolu Agency.

In July, Ammar used to be sworn in as the governor of Kassala, but he was once unable to count on his responsibilities as a tribal war erupted in the nation which resulted in the killing and wounding of dozens.

The country viewed the tribal battle as a end result of the rejection via the Hadandawa tribe of appointing governor from the rival Bani Amer tribe.
