Super Bowl To Break Betting Records With $23.1 Billion Stakes

The Super Bowl is expected to break betting records this year, with a projected $23.1 billion being wagered by a record 67.8 million American adults.

Many people are testing their luck at casinos like Southland in West Memphis, as sports betting is still not legal in some states like Missouri.

The casino is preparing for a busy day, with televisions set up throughout the venue and a VIP watch party for high rollers.

Forbes estimates that 36.5 million people will bet casually with friends or participate in pools or squares contests. However, it is important to gamble responsibly and seek help if needed.

Super Bowl LVIII, which will feature the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, is also expected to attract significant betting activity.

The 49ers opened as 2.5-point favorites, but the line has since dipped to -1.5. There are various ways to bet on the game, including traditional bets on the winner and prop bets on specific plays or outcomes.

The American Gaming Association predicts that nearly 68 million American adults will bet on the game, with most of the bets being made illegally through private bookies.

While Las Vegas was once the only city where sports gambling was legal, it is now permitted in 38 states.

The gambling industry expects the Super Bowl to continue setting betting records in the coming years due to the growth of sports betting in the US.

However, it is worth noting that only a small portion of the total bets placed on the game will be legal, with an estimated $1.5 billion being wagered legally.

The AGA estimates that $23 billion will be bet on the game this year, up from $16 billion the previous year.

While most legal bets are limited to on-field events, international gambling sites offer a wider range of bets, such as predicting the color of the Gatorade dumped on the winning coach or the duration of the national anthem.

The Super Bowl is a major event for the gambling industry, with millions of Americans participating in betting activities.

While it can be an exciting and enjoyable experience, it is important to gamble responsibly and seek help if gambling becomes a problem or addiction for you.
