During a live Instagram chat, the 2019 Fifa Women’s World Cup star explained that female players endure lots of criticisms a lot saying it is important to look good.
“I love to make up before again, most people think we female footballer are not pretty, we are ugly, they talk us down and body shame us.”
“So when I’m going to the field, I just want them to see the feminine part of us, it’s my job and I must look good.
“Many people may choose not to, but I love wearing my make up and to give people what to talk about because football is also part of the entertainment.” She told brila.net.
Ordega represented the Nigerian women’s national football team at all levels.
With the under 17, she played the 2010 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup and with the under 20 at 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
At the senior level, she featured at the FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments of 2011, 2015, and 2019.
