The ruling party in Ivory Coast wants Ouattara to seek a third term

Ivory Coast’s ruling party, RHDP, wants outgoing President Alassane Ouattara to contest as its candidate for October presidential polls.

The choice comes on the lower back of the demise of Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly, who was once the party’s flagbearer for the polls. Coulibaly died a week after returning from France the place he received scientific attention.

In an interview with French broadcaster, RFI; the party’s govt secretary Adama Bictogo said the president was quality positioned to win and united the party.
