The World: US authorizes regenerative plasma to treat COVID-19

US President Donald Trump made a “truly historical announcement” Sunday on the emergency authorization of convalescent plasma to deal with patients infected with the novel coronavirus.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), a federal business enterprise of the US Department of Health and Human Services, has approved the emergency use of antibody-rich blood plasma from COVID-19 survivors to deal with other coronavirus patients, Trump stated at some stage in a press briefing at the White House.
