A Governor of the Khomas Region in Namibia, Laura Veendapi McLeod-Katjirua has demanded that there most be sactions against men that violate the female child especially when they are underage, She further said government should sanction sex offenders. The rate of rape and child marriage is alarming especially in Africa.

While talking at the 16 Days of Activism crusade against sex put together brutality with respect to Monday dispatched by the Ministry of Gender Equality, Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare, the lead representative expressed that the pace of femicide is vexing and desperately requires genuine activity — as around 70% of ladies in the country experience the ill effects of their close accomplices.

In her words, “As we dispatch the 16 days, we trust they will make the required consciousness of the viciousness ladies, young ladies and young men go through.
