Tunisia 1-1 Angola: Djalma rescues Palancas Negras

Djalma rescued Angola to salvage a point in their 1-1 draw against Tunisia in their Group E opener at the Suez Stadium in the ongoing 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations on Monday night at Suez Stadium in Egypt.

The Eagles of Carthage started the encounter brightly after Naim Sliti was brought down in the box and Tunisia captain Msakni stepped up to convert the spot-kick 34 minutes of the tie.

Tunisia had late chances to retake the lead but, after finding space in the box with some neat footwork, Wahbi Khazri curled his low shot wide, then Msakni drilled straight at Tony Cabaca in added time.
The Carthage Eagles will take on Mali in their matchday two, while Angola tackles Mauritania.
