UAE and South Africa explore cooperation in sustainable infrastructure and transport

Hassan al-Mansoori, the UAE’s Under-secretary for Infrastructure and Transport Affairs at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, and South Africa’s Dean Macpherson, Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, recently engaged in meticulous discussions.

Both sides highlighted the longstanding bilateral relations and explored strategies to further enhance cooperation in sustainable infrastructure and transport. They also highlighted their country’s leading experiences in leveraging cutting-edge technologies.

Establishing strategic partnerships based on modern technology

During the recent meeting, both sides brought into focus their respective country’s experiences in developing smart and sustainable cities, and abiding by the best practices to execute strategic projects to the highest standards possible.

Hassan al-Mansoori emphasized during the discussions that the UAE attaches great importance to enhancing international relations in different sectors, including infrastructure and transportation, according to media reports.

He also noted the need to exchange successful experiences and practices to achieve sustainable development, further mentioning that the UAE ministry is putting efforts into establishing strategic partnerships based on modern technology.

UAE’s expertise in implementing strategic projects

High efficiency and high-quality projects are at the centre of the UAE-South Africa bilateral relations. During the discussions, Hassan al-Mansoori noted that bilateral cooperation opens more horizons for developing sustainable infrastructure projects that meet future needs.
