UAE Ships 5,112 Tonnes of Aid to Gaza via Egypt

The United Arab Emirates has increased its humanitarian aid to Gaza as the fifth shipdocked on Egypt’s North Sinai at Arish port. Sailing from the Al Hamriya Port in Dubaion October 30, the vessel was loaded with 5,112 tonnes of essential commoditiesincluding food, shelter and medical items. The delivery includes five ambulances fromthe humanitarian organizations of UAE, thus increasing the total aid to Gaza more than34000 tones.Holistic Support System for Quality Healthcare and InfrastructureIt is however imperative to note that the UAE does not only participate in the traditionaldelivery of aid through Chivalrous Knight 3 operation. It has set up two key fieldhospitals, one inside the strip, the other off the shores of Al Arish city. Moreover, fiveautomated baking facilities have been established, and eight more conventional bakingfacilities are supplied with flour to ensure food availability in the region.The operation has also meet the water crisis in Gaza through adding water desalinationplants, where six of them have been established. These facilities generate 1.2 milliongallons of fresh water daily which is pumped directly into the Gaza Strip therebysatisfying the basic human need of most than 600,000 inhabitants by availably themwith safe drinking water for their use.Aid Distribution Innovation: Operation “Birds of Goodness”The participation of the Joint Operations Command in the UAE’s Operation “Birds ofGoodness” has now become an important part of humane operations. The operationhas successfully made 53 airdrops, and most of them were delivered to the northernGaza Strip area currently unreachable by other means. These precision airdrops havedelivered 3,623 tonnes of humanitarian and relief supplies that people need.By so doing, the operation makes sure that assistance reaches those people whocannot access delivery trail due to geographical barriers hence proving that the UAEhas a noble cause of getting food to all citizens despite the barriers on the field.
