Usuthu: We’re going to do what’s needed

Following their painful loss at the weekend, plans are in progress for relegation-bound AmaZulu to take on Kaizer Chiefs this coming Saturday.

Usuthu, who are currently without a head coach after the club decided to put Jozef Vukusic on special leave, have a daunting task of climbing out of the relegation zone with seven matches to go, starting with the Chiefs clash at FNB Stadium on Saturday night.

The Durban-based side has amassed only 20 points from 23 matches, and currently sitting at the basement of the log.

AmaZulu midfielder Butholezwe Ncube has opened up about the situation that the club is in at the moment.

“I think we’ve been playing good football, we have just been unlucky in converting the opportunities we get into goals. We all need to have that goalscoring mentality, from the defenders to the strikers as well, that way, we can gain positive momentum,” Ncube told AmaZulu’s official website.

“We need to work hard as a team and keep the fighting mentality alive, everything else will then fall into place, we have the responsibility of keeping the team in the Absa Premiership and we will do what is needed to survive,” the Zimbabwean international said.
